Fresh Herb Bread

Serves 4

1 medium baguette (preferably sourdough)
120g butter, softened
1 clove garlic, crushed
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
1 tablespoon chopped thyme
2 teaspoons chopped oregano
pinch sea salt
2 – 3 tablespoons grated parmesan

Preheat oven to 200°C. Slice the baguette on the diagonal into 3 cm thick slices taking care not to cut all the way through.

In a small bowl combine all the other ingredients. Generously coat the inside of each slice with butter mixture, wrap baguette in foil and bake in the oven for 15 mins. To give the bread a crusty finish, remove the foil after 5 minutes and place on a baking tray.
