Gingerbread Biscuits

Gingerbread Biscuits

125g Margarine
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup golden syrup
3 cups plain flour
1 egg
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
2 teaspoons bicarb soda
icing sugar for decoration

Preheat oven to 180C.
Cream margarine, sugar, golden syrup until light and creamy. Add egg. Sift flour, spices and bicarb soda and add to creamed mixture. Roll dough until 5mm thick and cut shapes using assorted cutters. Place on greased trays and bake for approx 10 minutes. Cool and decorate with icing sugar.
