Caramel Pear Pies
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons brown sugar
3 small pears, cored and sliced
1/4 cup cream
cinnamon and nutmeg to taste
1. Melt butter in a pan, sprinkle with brown sugar and allow the brown sugar to melt and caramelise.
2. Add the pears and stir gently until soft.
3. Pour the cream and simmer for 5-10 minutes or until pears are cooked; cool.
4. Make pies as per instructions.
