Bacon and Sage Wrapped Chicken with Burnt Butter Sauce
1 x 250g chicken supreme
2 fresh sage leaves
2 slices smoked bacon, rind removed
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh sage
1. Preheat oven to 180°C fan-forced.
2. Wrap chicken tightly with sage leaves and bacon; secure with toothpicks. Place on a lightly greased oven tray; roast, uncovered, until chicken is cooked through.
3. Meanwhile, heat butter in a small frying pan, cook, until butter is browned lightly. Add juice and chopped sage. Cook, stirring for 2 minutes or until sauce is browned lightly.
4. Serve chicken with burnt butter sauce and fresh sage leaves, if desired.
