* Pre-heat oven to 180C. Cut top off damper to make the lid. Hollow out the pieces and then place it in the oven until crisp (around 10 -15 mins).
* Brown shallots, bacon pieces and some margarine in a pan. Cut and add the cream cheese piece by piece until melted, add sour cream next.
* Lastly add the tasty cheese. Take damper out of the oven. While it is warm place the dip in the damper. Place the damper lid back on. Use the damper bits and cut French Stick into dippers and serve.
