1/2 cup butter
2/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups SR flour
1. Set oven to 180C.
2. Collect utensils and ingredients.
3. Grease trays.
4. Melt butter in saucepan and cook until light brown colour. Allow to cool.
5. Lightly beat egg and vanilla together.
6. Add sugar and egg mixture to butter and beat well.
7. Add sifted flour and mix to a firm consistency.
8. Roll into small balls about 2cm. Place on greased trays. Top with 1/2 an almond.
9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden. Allow to cool on trays.
