Cherry and Almond Friands

180g Butter, melted
1 1/2 cups Almond meal
1 1/2 cups icing sugar, sifted
2/3 cups plain flour, sifted
6, 70g egg whites, lightly beaten
400g can pitted cherries, well drained
Pure Icing Sugar

Pre heat oven to 185ºC
Place almond meal, icing sugar and plain flour in a bowl.
Add melted Butter and egg whites.
Stir with wooden spoon until smooth.
Pour mixture into greased friand tins and top with cherries.
Bake for 20 minutes or until firm to touch.
Cool slightly, carefully turn out on a wire rack.
Dust with icing sugar before serving.
