Cream of Butternut Pumpkin
Age: 6 months +
Makes 6 portions
100g butternut pumpkin
2 tsp baby rice
120 ml warm formula or breastmilk
Peel the piece of butternut pumpkin and remove all the seeds.
Dice and steam for 8-10 minutes, or until very tender.
Puree the pumpkin until smooth or sieve.
Blend the baby rice with the warm formula or breastmilk.
Stir in the butternut pumpkin.
Spoon a portion into a bowl and cool before serving, if necessary.
Divide the remainder into portions and freeze, or cover and store in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
