Whole Wheat Honey Loaf with Walnuts

1 cup milk
1 cup honey
1/4 cup soft butter
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 cups whole-wheat flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 cup shelled walnut halves

Sift the flour before measuring and blend in the salt and baking powder. Combine milk and honey in a large, heavy pan over low heat. Stir over low heat until blended. Whisk in butter, eggs, and dry ingredients until well blended. Blend in the nuts.

Place batter in a greased loaf pan. Bake at 325 degrees 50 to 60 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean. Do not over bake. Cool before slicing.
