Beef and Pasta Bake
This recipe’s suitable for babies aged 6-12 months and toddlers.
It can be frozen.
1 teaspoon oil
1/2 onion, peeled and diced
500 g minced beef
1 carrot, peeled and grated
1 cup chopped mushrooms
1 x 420 g can tomato soup
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon dried oregano
2 cups raw spiral pasta
1 cup grated cheese
# Heat oil in a frying pan and cook the onion until soft.
# Add the mince and cook until brown.
# Stir in the carrot, mushrooms, soup, water and oregano.
# Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
# Cook pasta, then drain.
# Place pasta in a 6-cup casserole dish.
# Spoon over meat mixture and sprinkle with grated cheese.
# Place in a moderate oven to cook for 15 minutes.
You can cook the bake in one large dish, or in individual ramekins.
Use a smaller sizes of pasta for babies, rather than cutting up the larger spirals.
