Tuna Patties (Age: 12 months +)
Age: 12 months +
1 medium can of tuna in springwater
1 beaten egg
2 Tablespoons fresh brown breadcrumbs
1/2 cup mashed potato
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp finely chopped parsley
Squeeze the ingredients through fingers until thoroughly mixed and slightly sticky. Form into balls using wet hands and flatten into patties. Shallow fry in a mixture of vegetable oil and butter until golden. Drain and serve.
Fish patties can also be made in the same way, using flaked cooked fish or smoked fish.
This only makes about 6 patties which is good if you don’t know whether bub will like. If need more just double or triple the ingredients! It doesn’t take long.
