Banana Health Loaf

125gm butter, soft
1/2 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
1 large egg
2 tsp lemon juice
1 cup banana, mashed
1/2 cup yoghurt
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup wholemeal self-raising flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup chopped dates

Grease and line large loaf tin [12cm x 21cm].
Cream butter and sugar well. Beat in the egg and lemon juice. Combine banana and yoghurt, stir – add to rolled oats in large bowl. Sift together flour baking powder and salt, add to rolled oats. Fold in in dry ingredients alternating with banana mix. Lastly add dates and turn into loaf tin. Bake 180c or 160c fan forced for 60-65 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes and then turn out to cool.
