Sand Cake

Sand Cake

This is a very simple yet delicious dessert the whole family will enjoy.

2 x 300ml cartons of fresh cream (not thickened cream FRESH cream)
1 tin condensed milk
1 packet of milk arrowroot biscuits (doesn’t matter what brand)
5 teaspoons gelatine powder
60ml boiling water

# Finely crush the biscuits in a food processor.
# Get a large bowl and with an electric mixer beat the fresh cream until thick.
# Add condensed milk and mix well, careful not to overbeat the cream at this point.
# In a mug add boiling water and 5 tsps of gelatine powder and dissolve well. Set aside and allow to cool for a few minutes.
# Add gelatine to the cream mixture gradually and evenly and stir very well.
# Now in a deep dish or trifle bowl start filling it with a layer of biscuits about 1/2 an inch high, then a layer of cream mixture. Repeat this until you have used all your mixture; but leave a little of the biscuit crumb to sprinkle on the top layer for a nice finishing touch.
#Place in the fridge to set for about an hour or 2, enjoy!
