Russian Caramels

3 Tablespoons butter
2 Tablespoons golden syrup
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 can condensed milk
Vanilla

1. Place butter, syrup, sugar and milk into saucepan.
2. Stir over heat until mixture boils.
3. Continue to cook, stirring well, for about 15 mins.
4. Add essence and turn onto a buttered plate or greased surface. Mark into squares.
5. Cut when cool and wrap for later.
