French Toast

French Toast

2 eggs
1 T cream
salt and pepper
butter
4 slices of thick, day old white bread

Crack the eggs into a bowl. Use a whisk to beat until pale lemony coloured. Add the cream and beat until it’s all the one colour and texture. Add a good bit of salt and pepper.

Pour the mixture into a flat dish and put the bread in to soak for a minute or two on each side.

Heat lots of butter in a pan and when bubbling, drain the bread of the mixture and put in the pan. Cook until the bottom is brown and crispy. Flip and repeat.

Serve with a sprinkle of cinnamon and sugar. Or with savoury mince. Or bacon and eggs.
