2 cups Self Raising Flour
1 cup sugar
2 tsp bicarb soda
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup chopped dates
1 cup hot water
Boil together margarine, sugar, walnuts, dates and bicarb dissolved in the water.
Remove from heat and cool.
Add well beaten eggs and flour.
Bake in greased and lined loaf tin in oven 180′ for about 45 minutes.
Can be served hot or cold spread with butter.
