Chocolate Date Cake

300g silken firm tofu
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
2 1/2 cups self raising flour
1 cup pitted dates, chopped
1 1/3 soymilk

Frosting
1 cup pitted dates, chopped
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon cocoa

1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease and line a 20cm round cake tin. Place tofu, honey, brown sugar and soymilk in a food processor and blend until smooth.
2. Sift the flour and cocoa together. Fold the flour and dates through tofu mixture, pour into prepared cake tin. Bake for 1 hour or until cake is cooked (test with a skewer).
3. To prepare chocolate frosting, place dates, cocoa and water in small saucepan. Bring to boil. Reduce heat, simmer covered for 2 minutes. Blend date mixture in a food processor and spread over cool cake.
