1 tablespoon infant rice cereal
1 tablespoon apple puree
Apple juice (optional)
Mix cereal and apple, then mix with apple juice to a sloppy consistency. Place 1-2 tablespoons in baby’s serving bowl, then place remainder in a small airtight container and refrigerate. (This will thicken in fridge. Thin with a little extra juice or water before serving.)
Variation: Substitute pear, apricot or banana puree for apple puree. Use commercial fruit purees, with no added sugar, if you only need small quantities.
