500g cooking apples (Granny Smith)
3 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 cup SR flour
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons coconut
2 tablespoons brown sugar
Pre heat oven 190C.
Peel, core and slice apples and place in pie dish with sugar, water and cloves.
Rub butter into flour until mixture is crumbly, add brown sugar and coconut. Mix well. Sprinkle over apples. Place in oven. Cooking time varies with depth of fruit and crumble.
Serve with cream, custard or ice-cream.
